Hey guys and gals! Well, given that the sales buzz is well and truly over, it can be hard to readjust to paying full price for your latest shopping spree, especially given the harsh reality that our current weather doesn’t permit full appreciation of the fabulous spring pieces on offer. At times like this, I find myself reaching for trans-seasonal staples that work just as fabulously now as they will when those sizzling summer days hit.
For this latest post, I chose two such pieces for a carefree daytime look. Focusing on muted hues, I incorporated these black stretch skinny River Island jeans (€35) and some oversized statement sunnies (€3, Primark) with a selection of other steadfast wardrobe staples, to create a uniform that will see you safely through seasons to come. I hope you too can garner some ensemble inspiration for your next look!
I simply adore the fit of these dark denims from high street haven River Island. Although they feel almost like a jegging material, the fabric is surprisingly durable, and offers a super skinny fit without looking like a late noughties hipster- what more could one want?!
A burgundy turtle neck, paisley print blazer and navy coat were the perfect addition to keep that January chill at bay (particularly on the coastal location that was chosen for pictures!), with my trusty studded gloves injecting some glam rock goodness to proceedings.
The ladies wear section in Primark is on fire at the moment, and I couldn’t help but take advantage of their sublime sunglasses selection last week! These circle frame lovelies were just €3, and offer some major Wintour winter vibes- I’m in love!
So folks there we have it, two trans-seasonal staples for under €40- how can we go wrong?
I also have to give a big thanks to a very special friend of mine- Niamh from gourmetgrazing.ie, the photographer extraordinaire behind the lens of this look! If you want a heads-up on all things food and fabulous in Dublin and beyond, and some amazing recipes (I’ve tried them, they’re divine!), then I highly recommend checking out this culinary delight- just click here!
