Hey guys and gals! I hope everyone is keeping well and enjoying what’s left of the summer (we’ll continue to stay hopeful for a delayed heat wave, right?). Today, I thought I’d share a cheeky ladieswear look that I recently showcased on Ireland AM for the monthly ‘Bloggers Steal Off’. This month saw the task of recreating one of Cheryl’s latest looks, and my homage to a chic daytime ensemble that Ms. Fernandez Versini recently rocked proved to be a winner!
The real statemet piece of this look was of course Chezza’s white Adam Lippes blazer dress, which the star sported with a bare leg for an X Factor audition, and with ripped jeans and strappy heels whilst en route to a photoshoot. I went for the the latter look, and simply pinned a Pamela Scott blazer (currently in store) to emulate the jacket/dress vibe of Cheryl’s piece. At €59.95, it was slightly more reasonable than the original £1,500 price tag!
I achieved the rest of Cheryl’s look by styling my beautiful model Anca in a series of staple separates from River Island. These ripped jeggings (€55) were almost identical to Cheryl’s, and will make the perfect trans-seasonal addition to any wardrobe. The look was lifted with these zesty heels (€60 down to €45), while a chic nude and metallic clutch (€20) added a subtle neutral nuance. Of course, if heels and a hard clutch don’t float your boat, simply add a metallic brogue and your go-to classic tote in black or nude- always tailor a look to you.
I chose this particular ensemble of Cheryl’s because of each piece’s versatility- all of these items will easy lend themselves to a whole host of looks given their aesthetic accessibility. The black cami (€22), for instance, will work just as well with a new season suede mini as it would with your favourite leather pants, while a glitzy watch (€43) and Dior-dupe front and back earrings (€8) are the kind of bargain bling that take any outfit from drab to fab in an instant.
Hair and make up was created on the day by the fabulous Anca, (check out her FB page here!), with a sleek centre parting and defined eyes instantly emulating Cheryl’s pop-star prowess.
So folks, what do you make of my chicy Cheryl look? You can find each piece by clicking on the bold text throughout this post!
